Of chocolate eggs and fluffy bunnies

Happy Easter everyone!

Don't you just love long weekends? Luckily for me, I've went to the library to grab a few books to pass the long weekend. Probably will do something really productive such as cleaning up the room and getting my bed built.

Too bad the post does not arrive on public holidays. I was so looking forward to reading Albatross by Josie Bloss and The Hourglass Door by Lisa Mangum. At least I've received my copy of Voices of Dragons this week, that's something I've been looking forward to reading ever since I've first heard about it. I love dragons!

And since my contract for mobile plan has already ended, I'm going to spoil myself further by getting an iPhone. Will probably have to sell off my beloved iPod Touch but hey, I can't complain since I'm getting a new phone. :D

Blooming trees in pink

Seems like cherry blossom trees in Japan are now in full bloom. How I wish I could pay a visit and see one in real life. Imagine just laying beneath one while looking towards the sky. That's what I call paradise.

Today, I came across a big and really old looking cathedral somewhere along the north while I was on my way to lunch. I was in awe, I have never seen such a huge structure that is so old. It's no wonder they call this place the City of Churches.

Cupcakes and chocolates are great inspiration for assignments. I have been dreading about my assignment for weeks when suddenly, cupcakes passed my mind. And then ideas began to form and before I knew it, I have a draft for my assignment. I just adore creative assignments. :)

Summer days, autumn nights

Today, I went to my local council's public library. Being in a new library felt weird, since I have always hung out at the public library in the city. But since I'm at a new neighbourhood, I thought I'd better start getting acquainted with the new library too.

It was really weird, knowing that the YA genres were placed in the Teenagers Section in my library. Worse of all, the Teenagers Section was buried deep inside the Children's Section and Play Area. Perhaps it was because that I am new to the YA genre, but I have never felt so awkward being in the children's section, picking up a teenager's book. Maybe I'm just being silly since I am not certain whether people actually care if I was picking up a teenager's book.

However, I did picked up two books that I have been hearing good reviews about - Gone by Michael Grant and Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I can see why Thirteen Reasons Why is such a great book, I finished the book in three hours, with only a short break in between. Once I started on the book, I just couldn't put it down. Can't wait to begin Gone tomorrow.

Autumn is beginning to replace summer. Dried leaves are starting to pile up. It won't be long now before the cold weather begins to nip at my toes. I can hardly wait. I adore winter!

Friday time-out

Don't you just adore the weekends? I always feel a sense of relief when the clock hits 12:00 pm on Friday, knowing that I would not have to worry about classes until the next Tuesday. Being able to lie in not just on Sunday, but Saturday and Monday too. Until of course, the reality of having piles of assignments begins to creep in my mind. Nevertheless, Friday and Saturday are my official day-offs. Everything else can just very well wait.

Tonight I will be attending a birthday party. I'm not very fond of them, or to be more exact, crowds. I'm happier staying at home, surrounded by my beloved and my books. Watching a movie on a Friday night would do too. Anything but crowds.

Droplets of rain

The temperature in my room is really stuffy, even when it's raining. The garden needs mowing and the backyard needs watering. There's never a downpour here, not like other countries - just light showers every now and then. I would love to have a real downpour for once.

Proper sleep has been avoiding me. I'm not sure why. I keep waking up every few hours or so, and it's driving me nuts. Maybe something is bugging me, but I've yet to realise it. Maybe it's just my sore neck. Either way, a massage would be good.

This weekend I'm planning to organise my room. Tidy everything up and finally put the laundry into my new wardrobe. Looking at my huge bookcase, I can't help but to think that I may need to splurge more on books to fill it up. I knew getting a large bookcase and two smaller ones spells trouble.
